The never-ending conversation on life, liberty, and sequential art…

…with Shawn Levasseur.

My old band teacher was cool, but not this cool.

No disrespect to Marlene Hall, the best band teacher you would ever hope to have, but she wasn’t a comics geek whose comics reading inspires her jazz compositions.

That would be another music teacher, Kelly Fenton.

Her professional website, includes samples of her compositions, including the Villains United Suite, Serenade for Donna Troy, Elegy for Ted Kord, and Infinite Crisis.

Her personal blog, covers her professional life as a composer, teaching music to elementary school kids, comics, jazz, and the intersection of jazz & comics.

Tip of the hat to Todd Seavy for bringing Kelly to my attention.

Music and Comics, Medicine and Comics, Politics and Comics… Everything goes better with comics!
