Unqualified Offerings is a blog that is usually political, and sometimes goes into comics, and other aspects of pop-culture.

It had been dropped from my RSS feeds due to an extended streak of “the war sucks” and “Bush is bad” posts that got to be a broken record. It may get back on my reading list if this piece is any example of how things are going over there.

Bruce B. posts “Comic Books and the Crisis of American Politics”. There’s a lot of food for thought. It does engage in a bit of stereotyping of Republicans (almost to the point of creating a strawman version of the GOP), but still a good springboard for discussion.

Please read it. I’ll be commenting on this very soon, as it brings up quite a few thoughts on politics inside and amongst political parties, and a few thoughts about the metaphorical interpretations of super heroes.
